Fred (Penny Freddy) Croce - DECEASED

Fred Croce has been the barber for the town of Silver Pine since the beginning. He has seen the town grow and watched Maximilian T. Totschlagge profit all along the way. Penny Freddy, so called because he is considered to be a very cheap man, makes an honest living giving shaves and haircuts to the townsfolk of Silver Pine. He is also good for the latest gossip and news from back East with a tongue almost as sharp as his razor.

Fred is a might superstitious and sometimes considered a little off his rocker by the people of Silver Pine. But as longs as he gives a good haircut, they’ll keep going to see him. In the barber shop there is seating for two, but he only allows customers to sit in the chair closest to the door. Everyone knows that the seat to the left is not to be used. Fred has refused service to anyone that doesn’t obey that simple rule, banning them for life from his shop.

The barber shop is one of the few independent businesses not owned by Maximilian T. Totschlagge. In the shop are deer, buffalo and the heads of other game as well as an Indian scalp hanging on the wall. Penny Freddy always has garlic and some peculiar wild flowers hanging over the inside window and door to the barber shop as well as his bedroom, which is on the second floor.
