As this night approaches, I find myself on edge a little bit.
I know a bit about rituals, both from the spectator point of view and participants view.
They require three things....
Firstly, they require a connection. While it's not difficult to create a connection these days; the stronger the connection the more likely the ritual will start successfully. There's a few different things that can affect this; the state of the moon and what the leader is wearing are the common things; this is why whiches of old used to dance naked in the moonlight.
Secondly energy ... the heart of all rituals is a powerful energy, that energy like a fire needs to start somewhere. Igniting the spark is often more difficult then people would expect ... even today. There's lots of things that can increase the energy available to a ritual; with two people sexual acts tend to provide the most energy; with larger groups typically the most that is needed would be dancing or chanting.
Finally, control... this is typically were things go bad. Whatever the ritual does NEEDS to be controlled... this is usually done though either cunning, or brute force.
... I find myself wonder, how we are going to deal with the impending blood demon should this ritual Ms. Lacroix fail.
Should I try a ritual of my own, perhaps ask a demon which one of it's friends is coming; or should I just prepare for a fight?
